Notes Response for if you think you can be a firefighter.

This website did not give much information. It's hard to find more more information that what I have already found because I found alot of information my last couple blogs. I wish I had found more information about my topic this time, but I will have to use a different resource next time. This information was basically on if you think you can be a firefighter, not a lot of information on just firefighting in general.

So You Think You Want To Be a Firefighter? Notes

A way to find out if you qualify for work as a wildland firefighter.

-Things that you think you may need for a week into a backpack , weighing 50 pounds.
-If not food, add rocks.
-Start hiking cross-country, 10 hours per day on steep slopes.
-Make sure you're awake for at least 20 hours per day.
-Big movable stuff, rocks and logs, pick them up and move them.
-Fall down a lot, bang yourself up on rocks and roots as often as possible.
-Thrash around in the brush, get good and scraped, go without food and water as much as possible.
-Practice sleeping while waking up.
-Try attracting as many mosquitoes, yellowjackets, bees, flies and snakes as possible.
-Get bit as you can in as many places as possible.
-Get wet and muddy, get hot and dusty and filthy as possible. Don't bathe.

Keep up for a week. If you're still alive, and having a good time, you may be able to be a wildland firefighter.
