Fire Fighting

My personal interest in the topic firefighting, is because my boyfriend is a fire fighter. It's a difficult job; going into a burning house at hundreds of degrees. You risk your life every time you go into a burning building just to save another life. You cannot have anything flammable on you or your skin showing. If you have something flammable on you; you can possibly go up in flames and die. If you have skin showing, you can burn and perhaps die as well or have serious injury. I want to learn more about what he does and what his penalties may be, and how the gear he wears protects him.

Firefighting is always in the news. You hear about fires all the time. There's things in the news about the gear fire fighters wear. There's things in the news about people being killed in a fire and firefighters possibly getting killed in a fire.

In masterfile I found a lot of results. In proquest I only found about 30 documents. I found a lot of results on fire fighting in a lot of the places we had to try out. There were more in fire fighting than there were information in the other 2 topics I may have done.

Every day there is something new in the papers about fires and firefighters rescuing people and buildings. There are many people and places being caught on fire. Fire fighting is also ongoing because of the training they have to do.

It'll be easy to find information on fire fighting over the next months because there's ongoing information about fire fighting. What I want to do with this research is talk about it with my boyfriend and understand what he's actually talking about instead of just nodding and agreeing to what he's saying and not knowing what he's talking about. Also, I can ask my boyfriend information on the topic because he is obviously very knowledgeable on the topic.
